Sparkling with crisp storytelling, clever twists, turns, and laugh-out-loud humor, Hunting the Red Fox is a gem.
★★★★★Hunting the Red Fox was an engaging story that captivated me though out the entire book. Although fiction, the actual historical events that were intertwined made the read come to life. It was evident the author did his research. Additionally, the witty banter along with the drama of the events were such that I wanted to know more about the main characters and suffice to say, the author did not disappoint in doing just that. Great read and I look forward to reading more from this author.

A Wildly Fun Historical Fiction/Detective Novel
Hunting the Red Fox is one of the most fun and enjoyable books I've read in the past few years!
The novel's protagonist Perry Barnes is a cross between James Bond, Arnold Palmer, and Forrest Gump - he is a debonair and charismatic detective/golfer who constantly finds himself in outrageous situations beside famous people. I especially enjoyed Barnes' narration style which both kept you laughing with jokes and kept you on the edge of your seat waiting to read what comes next. I also enjoyed how the author wove historical figures such as Winston Churchill and Jackie Gleason into the plot in a way that felt natural not forced. Finally, Barnes' personal growth throughout the second half of the novel led to a satisfying conclusion to his character arc and the story.
I definitely recommend this book as a fun page-turning read if you are a fan of historical fiction, adventure stories, golf, or crime/detective novels!
